This is a great list!! I was introduced to the great James Cone by my Political Science Professor Dr. Juan Allende who is nephew of the late Salvador Allende, a democratically elected socialist in Chile who was assassinated. Dr. Allende remains one of the kindest and most fair-minded intellects I know who also introduced us students to several African belief systems developed here in the New World. His sister is award-winning author Isabel Allende.

You have lived a life!!!!!!!!! Want to be my honorary auntie? hahaha

Yes, I am very familiar with Salvador Allende. I once wrote a paper on him in undergrad for a Latin American Politics class.

I actually got to meet Dr. Cone once years ago, at a UTS program. A brilliant man, who I return to often.

You can be honorary nephew 😄. Dr. Allende and many of my classmates used to go protest against The School of the Americas each year. It was located at Fort Benning, Georgia.

It was essentially a place that trained Latin leaders how to be dictators. They eventually revised some of its training tactics and renamed it Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation around 2000 or 2001.
