A Thousand Lanterns Lifted
A Thank You Letter
Beloveds,
When I offered this little fire of a newsletter back in February, I had no map, just a trembling devotion to language and a hope that someone out there might sit with me in the dark and help me coax a new kind of dawn. Today, there are over a thousand of you gathered here, holding these words with a tenderness I don’t take lightly. You have challenged me to think deeper, to risk bolder, to stretch my imagination past the edges where I once thought I ended.
Thank you for treating this space as sacred, because that’s what creation has always been to me, a quiet altar where we meet ourselves, a room where the old wounds loosen and the new worlds hum. Thank you for reading not with haste, but with heart. For sitting beside me in the revelations, and for allowing my voice to reach you, and for letting your presence shape the way I dream on the page.
Here’s to the thousand souls who said yes to this unfolding. I’m grateful beyond language, and still, I will keep trying to make the language worthy of us.
With so much love,
Saint Trey

so very proud, thank you for writing!
Beautiful! In spite of the fact that I’m a historian, my favorite former professors were all poets or had the souls of poets or prose writers…and you certainly are all of the above!
